Privacy Policy
PackZen respects your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights over it. We comply with India's Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
1. Data We Collect
When you create an account:
- Name, email address, phone number
- Password (stored encrypted — we never see it in plain text)
When you make a booking:
- Pickup and drop addresses
- Moving date, house type, items to be moved
- Photos of items you upload
- Payment information (processed by Razorpay — we do not store card details)
Automatically collected:
- Device type, browser, IP address
- Pages visited and time spent (via Firebase Analytics)
- Location (only when you click "Use my current location" — not tracked in background)
2. How We Use Your Data
- To confirm and fulfil your booking
- To assign a driver and coordinate your move
- To send booking confirmations, status updates via WhatsApp/SMS/email
- To process payments and issue GST invoices
- To improve our services and resolve disputes
- To send promotional offers (only if you opt in)
3. Data Sharing
We share your data only with:
- Assigned driver: Your name and phone number (so they can contact you)
- Razorpay: Payment processing (their privacy policy applies)
- Firebase (Google): Database, authentication, and hosting
- Google Maps: Address autocomplete and distance calculation
- MSG91 / Twilio: SMS notifications (if enabled)
All third-party services we use are GDPR-compliant and follow industry-standard security practices.
4. Data Retention
- Account data: Retained until you delete your account
- Booking records: Retained for 7 years (required for GST compliance)
- Chat messages: Retained for 6 months after delivery
- Photos uploaded: Retained for 3 months after delivery
5. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access all data we hold about you — email us at support@packzenblr.in
- Correct inaccurate data — update via your profile in the app
- Delete your account and data — email us with subject "Delete My Data"
- Opt out of marketing — uncheck email/SMS preferences in your profile
- Data portability — request a copy of your data in a readable format
We will respond to all data requests within 30 days.
6. Cookies
We use minimal cookies for authentication (keeping you logged in) and theme preferences (dark/light mode). We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking. You can disable cookies in your browser, but this will prevent you from staying logged in.
7. Security
- All data is transmitted over HTTPS (TLS 1.2+)
- Passwords are hashed using Firebase Auth (bcrypt)
- Database access is restricted via Firestore security rules
- Payment data never touches our servers — processed entirely by Razorpay
8. Children's Privacy
Our services are not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us and we will delete it immediately.
